The youngest Barcelona squad in a decade
The avreage age of the squad is 25.33 years and 12 players are under the age of 25
FC Barcelona are renewing their squad. It started in the summer with the arrival of players like Pedri and Trincao, plus the official promotion of Ansu Fati, while the likes of Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal were moved on.
One of the consequences of these changes is that the average age of Ronald Koeman's squad has dropped to 25.33 years per player.
It is the youngest squad Barça have had in the last decade. The squad is almost a year younger than last year's, which registered an average age of 26.28 years per player.

The generational exchange is clear to see and of the 24 players in the first team, 12 are now either 25 or younger. They are Clément Lenglet (25), Junior Firpo (24), Frenkie De Jong (23), Ousmane Dembélé (23), Carles Aleñá (22), Matheus Fernandes (22), Ronald Araújo (21), Riqui Puig (21), Francisco Trincao (20), Sergiño Dest (20), Ansu Fati (18) and Pedri Rodríguez (17).
The players aged above 30 are: Miralem Pjanic (30), Neto Murara (31), Jordi Alba (31), Sergio Busquets (32), Leo Messi (33) and Gerard Piqué (33).
It's the first time in a decade the average age of the squad has dropped below 26:
