The troublesome start to Christmas Gerard Pique and Shakira have endured

The start of Gerard Pique and Shakira’s holidays have not gone to plan. After the altercation Pique had at the airport with the media, there has been a new setback. None of the four members of the family, Pique, Shakira and their children Milan and Sasha, arrived at Barranquilla airport as the plan was. This is according to Tonino Mebarak, Shakira’s brother who also travelled, who did make it to the Colombian city. 

Tonino was asked by Colombian media at the airport what happened. According to Caracol Television Tonino said they had decided to spend some time in Miami. “They cancelled the flight in the end, I don’t know why but maybe because the kid (Sasha) is a little bit ill.”

The youngster had been taken to Teknon clinic in Barcelona previously. Shakira has cancelled an event she was supposed to be at in Barranquilla, with the family staying with Shakira’s mother in Miami. Their intention is to spend Christmas in Colombia but this setback has changed the timing of their holiday plans—and they may stay in Miami until Sasha recovers.
