Atletico Madrid, knowing Antoine Griezmann's adaptation problems at Barcelona, offered a deal to Barcelona for the French forward, per Carrusel Deportivo on SER.
The trade that Atletico proposed consisted of players Mario Hermoso, Thomas Lemar and Alvaro Morata, in exchange for the French forward. However, Barcelona didn't accept it, saying Griezmann was untransferrable.
The good relationship Simeone and Griezmann have was one of the reasons they wanted him back. Griezmann has been questioned since arriving at Barca for his poor performances and seeming lack of connection with Leo Messi.
This season he has scored two goals in nine games, adding one assist, far from impressive numbers.
