Barça will increase their offer for the Brazilian, who's depserate to sign

Talks between the two clubs have advanced ahead of a move this month

Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is closer to signing for Barcelona each day. Talks between the two clubs have intensified this week with the aim of reaching an agreement as soon as possible.

Coutinho's situation at Liverpool has become unsustainable and the English club are finally ready to open the exit doors.

British newspaper The Times reported on Friday that Barça have now presented a new offer for the Brazilian, after failing with three bids last summer.

The report says it is worth 160 million euros, although only 120 million euros initially with another 40 million euros in variables.

It's an offer which is to Liverpool's liking, according to The Times, with the club now prepared to sell the 25-year-old.

However, the Premier League club would like the variables changed. Among those offered is a bonus for Coutinho being a finalist in the Ballon d'Or, for example.
