The three offers that Ansu Fati rejected to stay at Barça
The forward was wanted by three of Europe's biggest sides but he said no
Ansu Fati and sporting director Mateu Alemany both confirmed in a press conference that there were various other sides interested in the forward, but he always wanted to stay at Barca.
Per COPE, he had offers from PSG, Manchester United and Liverpool.
They say that various intermediaries were speaking to Ansu’s agent and people to sound out his signing. Including offering him double what he will earn on his new deal.
Barcelona had to act quickly to deactivate the thread from outside and in the end Alemany flew to Porto to meet Jorge Mendes, his agent. “It was always my first option, I had offers from outside but I’ve always wanted to succeed at Barca,” said Ansu. Meanwhile Alemany added: “Ansu chose Barca over other superior economic offers.”
