The squad for Barça's La Liga opener against Rayo Vallecano
The list includes all the new signings except Koundé, with the surprise absence of Dest.
FC Barcelona have announced their squad for the 2022/23 LaLiga Santander season opener against Rayo Vallecano this Saturday at 21:00.
The squad includes all of the new signings except Jules Koundé, who continues to train with the team. Lewandowski (9), Christensen(15), Kessié(19) and Raphinha(22) are the big new additions to the first official list of the season.
The surprise absentee is the full-back Sergiño Dest, who does not appear on the list.
Nico González is not on the list either, now that his loan move to Valencia is official; nor Abde, who is close to signing, also, for Valencia.

Among the absentees are also Braithwaite and Umtiti, two of the remaining players discarded by the coach. The club is urgently looking for a way out for them.
