The reason De Jong and Busquets cards aren't being rescinded

Frenkie de Jong will be banned for the game against Levante on Sunday. Barcelona had tried to appeal against it but the Competition Committee did not see any reason for it to be revoked, even though he got the ball first and barely touched Espino.
The main reason was that the committee doesn’t like to get involved in re-refereeing games.
They think the images aren’t sufficient enough proof that the referee got the incident wrong. At face value in fact, they think it shows the referees version of events.
Sergio Busquets’s appeal against his yellow card isn’t being validated either. They don’t think the decision was a clear and obvious mistake from the official, so he keeps his booking.
