The Pablo Torre mystery at Barca takes another turn

He is not getting football either with the first team or the B team squad

Pablo Torre's situation at Barça is becoming more and more curious with every passing day. It is not easy to settle and succeed at Camp Nou, and more when you come from playing with a different football concept, but the chapter against Cadiz, when the Cantabrian warmed up at half-time and in the second half along with Alarcon and was left on the bench gives rise, to say the least, to considering the situation strange.

Numbers rule and apart from other considerations, Pablo Torre has only 213 minutes playing for the Barca first team, spread over six matches. The last one came in Ceuta in the Copa del Rey, when he was a starter but Xavi, surprisingly, replaced him at half-time, even though the team was already winning.

It so happens that it was a personal call from Xavi that led to the signing of the player, although he finished last season at Racing. However the coach has warned that he considers him to be more of a playmaker, unlike Pedri or Gavi, a position that his tactical structure at present does not suit as much as that of the interior midfielders.

It is no secret that Xavi is a staunch defender of the possession game - even Frenkie de Jong had difficulties at the beginning - and it may be that Torre is not assimilating it as expected. The reserve team is not enjoying his presence either: he has only gone down to play with them in two games.
