The new life of Barca's teen sensation Ansu Fati
The young Barca player is learning a coaching course and lives with his parents
Being Barcelona’s great sensation this season doesn’t stop Ansu Fati having a normal life. The 16-year-old - 17 next Thursday - is doing everything possible for his footballing and media explosion not to change his routine.
He still lives with his parents, very close to Barcelona’s training ground. He’s still a timid boy, focused on his work.
Although he is not studying his bachillerato any more, Ansu will return to class: supervised by Barca, he’s signed up for the coaching course that the FCF (Catalan football federation) gives, - level one, initiation. Once he gets the title he can coach the benjamin and alevin categories.
Fati is also studying English, again with the club at La Masia, with the tutor Barca assigned him.
In this sense Barca are creating an environment adequate for him to keep growing as a player and person with the least interference possible.
One of the most relevant aspects is his age. At 16, most first team players have little to do with what you can expect of a 16 year old, so Barca want him to keep learning and improving himself.
Although he has gone a month without minutes after an injury, he’s with the Barca first team squad - except he goes to watch the Juvenil A and Barca B team games.
Because of his age he’s closer to his team-mates with the youth teams than the first team squad, but his talent allows him to play with the big boys.
