It was claimed the midfielder's bad habits are behind is lack of minutes

Xavi Hernández has come out to clear up false rumours about Pablo Torre's situation at Barcelona. The young player is not getting too many minutes this season and some have seized on a rumour that points to the player's bad habits to justify his disappearance from the line-ups.

The Blaugrana coach wanted to put this issue to rest as soon as possible.

"I've read that Pablo has bad habits, that's all false. He is an example, he works well, he likes football. Within the dressing room, he's very well-liked, he's a very good kid."

Torre's situation is being discussed at the club, where they are considering a loan move so that he can have more minutes next season.

"The issue is that there is a lot of competition, he is playing minutes in the Barça first team and that is a lot. He is helping us. I hope he is important and ready," Xavi said.

In total this season, Torre has so far played 498 minutes: 53' in La Liga, 95' in the Champions League, 105' in the Cup and 245' with Barça Atlètic.

These are figures that make clear the residual role of the player who did not even manage to play a leading role during the absences of Pedri and De Jong.
