Thiago Alcantara would be delighted to return to Barcelona and the heavyweights in the dressing room would be delighted to have him back.
That's how it is and the current Bayern Munich player has made it evident by uploading a photograph on Instragram in which he appears with Gerard Pique in a training session on Friday at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.
The Hispanic-Brazilian midfielder is joking with the Barça centre-back who he shared a dressing room with at Camp Nou five years ago, until he left to join Pep Guardiola in Germany.
Now Bayern have told him they don't count on him and have put him on the market. Given the circumstances, Barça's players have began to put the wheels in motion to get him back to Catalonia.
And Thiago, knowing he would be welcomed back at Can Barça, took advantage of being with his former teammates while on Spain duty to strengthen their relationship and make it clear he, too, would like to return.
The operation would cost around 50 or 60 million euros, a reasonable figure given today's market prices.
