Messi is out of contract with PSG, while there are many other interesting names

With three months to go until 2023 starts, the technical team at Barcelona are starting to look at the market and possible incorporations for next season. The summer window has just shut, but this doesn’t end. Barcelona are looking at the zero cost options for next summer.

Matey Alemany, Jordi Cruyff, Franc Carbo and Co, insatiable, are building a list. There are a lot of interesting names whose contracts run out next summer.

Try: Oblak, Íñigo Martínez, Skriniar, N'Dicka, Dalot, Gayà, Jorginho, Kanté, Douglas Luiz, Rashford, Lemar Zaha, Firmino, Memphis, Messi, Marco Asensio, Gündogan o Karim Benzema.

DIFFERENT CASES

Inigo was close to coming in the summer and will join in 2023, if there are no surprises. Currently there are no left-footed defenders in the squad.

Jorginho has also been linked to Barcelona, Asensio too. The winger did not shut the door to a Barcelona switch when asked about it with Spain.

Then there is one case apart from the rest, that of Lionel Messi. The Argentine will decide what he will do after the World Cup. Stay in Paris, leave for the US, or finish his career with the club of his life, Barcelona. Laporta and Xavi have said lately they would love to have the best player in the world back. It would be perfect for him to return and say goodbye to a full Camp Nou. But we’ll have to wait and see.
