The first 'signings' of the Sergi Barjuan era at Barcelona

Abde and Sanz will be in the first team squad vs. Alaves on Saturday

Abde Ezzazouli and Álvaro Sanz took part in the first training session under interim Barcelona coach SergI Barjuan and could be in the squad for Saturday's game vs. Alaves.

The expectation was that Abde and Álvaro Sanz would travel with Barça B for Friday's game against Linares Deportivo. But the call from Barjuan has changed the plans and Albert Capellas, the interim B team coach, will not have them at his disposal.

Sanz is one of the most used players by Barjuan in the reserve team this season and can play various positions, although he's a midfielder by trade. Abde, meanwhile, is a winger who Barça signed for €2 million from Hercules this summer.

Sanz's promotion is likely related to the injury Sergi Roberto is suffering from, while Abde has been called up as Ansu still has a knock and will be reserved for Dynamo Kiev.

Both Sanz and Abde are in line for their first-team debuts if they feature against Alaves.
