The domino effect that will pave Lewandowski's way to Barcelona

The striker has already made it clear he wants to move to Camp Nou

Bayern will swoop for Liverpool's Mane after the Reds tied up Nunez

Robert Lewandowski is Barcelona's top target for 2022-23. Xavi Hernandez's project needs a superstar to lead it and the Polish striker is ready to fill the vacancy. The agreement with the player is in place. The 33-year-old is putting pressure on Bayern Munich to let him leave but, even though the situation at the Allianz Arena is unsustainable now, the German club will not let him leave without a replacement.

Therefore, Darwin Nunez's move to Liverpool, now official, could kick things off. The Reds have broken the bank for the Uruguayan, paying a fee that could reach €100 million, to facilitate the exit of Sadio Mane. The Senegal forward wants to leave Anfield and Bayern want him. Per the journalists Fabrizio Romano, the German team are closer and closer to signing him and will make a new offer soon.

If Bayern tie down Mane, the chance of letting Lewandowski leave grow significantly. Even though they have different profiles, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann would have in Mane a new attacking reference who can make the difference and the search for a No9 would not be as urgent. Or, at least, they would not need a top level striker.

During his time with Bayern, 'Lewa' has averaged 43 goals a season. His numbers have been extremely good. But his contract is up in 2023 and and he has made it clear he wants to leave. Bayern are obliged to negotiate with Barcelona.
