The dilemma for Barcelona fans: bank on Messi or go with Barça players?

The moment of truth has arrived. There is only one game left to play in the World Cup in Qatar and it throws up a 'dilemma' for the fans of FC Barcelona: Support Lionel Messi, an absolute club legend but currently representing PSG, or back Ousmane Dembélé and Jules Koundé?

The majority response is quite unbalanced, in favor of Messi, who left an indelible mark on the Catalan club.

It seems that all the stars are aligned so that it is Argentina who, this time, 36 years after they lost won it, lift the World Cup.

The Albiceleste have a different aura from the rest in Qatar. They boast a passionate support that has traveled in mass despite the economic difficulties of the country and have a compact, seamless group of players that revolves around their God and leader, Messi.

Obviously, France will be a very tough team to crack, though, and everything is still to be decided.

The figure of the No. 10 is sacred at Barça. Messi broke all the molds wearing the club's colours. He is the club's greatest historical idol. And that is why, because of poetic justice and because it is his last train to win the World Cup, many Barcelona fans will support a PSG player. But the context is the context.

Some others, perhaps the most 'corporate', will go with the only two players in Sunday's final who currently represent Barcelona: Koundé and Dembélé. Both are indisputable starters for this pragmatic France led by Didier Deschamps that seems to win without being at their best. With differential players across the board and a defence that is performing very well.

DEMBÉLÉ & KOUNDÉ

Dembele plays a more supportive role with fewer fireworks than we are used to. But he is non-negotiable for the coach, who is delighted with his performances.

Kounde is performing at a very high level at right-back. With a cast of top centre-backs, the former Sevilla player has completely usurped Pavard. He is an absolute guarantee of reliability.
