The crazy price Man City have put on Bernardo Silva's head
The Portuguese playmaker is a Barcelona target but will not be possible at this high figure
Bernardo Silva wants to leave Man City this summer for personal reasons. He thinks his time in the Premier League is over but the club aren’t making life easy for him by selling him on the cheap.
They want 85-95 million euros for the playmaker, a quantity they will not negotiate down according to TV3 journalist Xavi Torres. Barcelona are concious of the difficulty of the operation, which is impossible right now, despite the player’s will to come. If there are no discounts then the possibility is slim.
Barcelona will make an important effort for Bernardo Silva. His agent Jorge Mendes is up to date on the situation and has indicated that other clubs like PSG are interested. The player wants to be closer to Portugal and Barcleloan are a priority for him. City are not interested in letting him go easily though.
They paid 50m plus 30m in variables to Monaco for him in 2017. Most of those have been paid as Bernardo is heavily used by Pep and City have won a lot.
Right now Barcelona don’t see it as possible to pay close to 100 million for Bernardo, even if they sell De Jong for a similar figure.
