Barcelona don't have an array of options given their multiple injuries

In a tense atmosphere, Barcelona will host Granada on Monday. Life continues and Ronald Koeman’s team must focus now on their domestic championship with three games in a week. Coach Ronald Koeman has calls to make.

The most likely thing is the club return to 4-3-3. They used 5-3-2 against Bayern but it did not go well.

In defence it will be Sergi Roberto or Oscar Mingueza at right back. If Koeman goes for the latter then the former will be an option in midfield, which suits him better.

After good minutes against Bayern Munich, Alejandro Balde could start at left back. He’s got a chance because Jordi Alba is injured.

Eric or Araujo, likely the latter, will start with Gerard Pique unless he’s not fit. He did not train yesterday.

In midfield Busquets and De Jong will be joined by one of Gavi, Coutinho, Sergi Roberto or Riqui Puig. Gavi would be a similar profile to the injured Pedri. Young, talented, mobile. Coutinho is perhaps the most logical, if he operates further up.

Sergi Roberto is, with Gavi, the most likely. Firstly because after he was whistled against Bayern, benching him would be to single him out. SPORT reported he would love the chance to prove himself in midfield.

Up front, Memphis is certain and two from Coutinho, Demir and Luuk de Jong will be the other forwards. The Brazilian impressed off the bench against Bayern.
