The Champions League draw 2020-21: Pots and seedings

On Thursday at 5pm, the Champions League draw takes place. Barcelona will be in pot two for the competitions which starts October 20-21 and will end up in a final in Istanbul at the Ataturk stadium on May 29 next year.

It's starting later this year after the coronavirus pandemic, meaning a lot of games will be crunched in, during the group phase.

After that, the rest of the competition will take place as normal, providing the coronavirus situation does not change. Last season there was a mini tournament to finish it in Lisbon.

• Pot 1: Bayern Múnich (reigning champions), Sevilla (Europa League winners), Real Madrid, Liverpool, Juventus, PSG, Zenit, Porto.  
• Pot 2: FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussi Dortmund, Chelsea, Ajax.  
• Pot 3: Dinamo Kiev, Salzburg, RB Leipzig, Inter Milán, Olympiacos, Lazio, Krasnodar, Atalanta.  
• Pot 4: Lokomotiv Moscow, Olympique Marseille, Bruges, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Istanbul Basaksehir, Midtjylland, Stade Rennais, Ferencváros.
