The team that wins will have a better record in football's most exciting derby

Barcelona face Real Madrid on Saturday and the winner will be the champions of the Clasico. It is the 245th meeting between these sides. So far each have 96 wins and 52 draws. Barcelona have 399 goals to Madrid's 405.

Stats show these giants of Spanish football are equal. Madrid started the stronger, and maintained an advantage in wins until Jan 2012, almost 79 years, but Barca pulled level at 86 wins. However the Catalans didn't move in front until March 2019, when they won 1-0 at the Bernabeu in La Liga, going 96-95 ahead. Madrid won the last meeting in March and now we have parity.
