Ter Stegen wants FC Barcelona to re-sign Thiago Alcantara
The German stopper admits "I would like to have him in my team"
Marc-André Ter Stegen would love to see Thiago Alcantara back at FC Barcelona. The German keeper has been talking to Sport Bild and said: "I'd like to have Thiago at Barça. His style fits us well and he's got an interesting personality."
Ter Stegen added the best characteristic of the older Alcantara was that he's "a special player". "He offers different options. If they signed him, it would be great for him and for us."
Thiago won the Champions League with Bayern last season and played a key role in his side's 8-2 crushing of Barça.
Liverpool
The midfielder is very close to signing for Liverpool. Thiago has 12 months remaining on his contract and, after seven years in Germany, is ready for a new challenge. He's keen to join the reigning Premier League champions.
Bayern's high asking price, €30m, has still the move stall. Liverpool want to pay less but if more teams appear on the scene they could be forced to pay up quickly.
