The German goalkeeper is Barça's No.1 in La Liga and the Champions League

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will make his 50th appearance for the club in the Champions League on Tuesday against Manchester United.

The German international joined the club in the summer of 2014 and while he's not always been a regular in La Liga -- he was No.2 to Claudio Bravo at first -- he has always been the No.1 in Europe.

Ter Stegen played 13 games in the Champions League in his first season (2014-15) at Camp Nou and conceded 11 goals as Luis Enrique's side won the competition, beating Juventus in the final in Berlin.

In his second season, he played 10 times and leaked eight goals. Barça lost to Atletico Madrid in the last eight. The following season saw him play nine games and concede 12 times as Barça suffered heavy defeats against PSG and Juventus before being knocked out to the latter in the last eight.

34 WINS, 8 DRAWS & 7 deFEATS

Last season, he played another nine games in the Champions League and conceded six times as Barça, once again, were knocked out in the quarterfinal -- this time by Roma.

Ter Stegen, in his 49 European games to date, has won 34 of them, drawn eight and lost seven. He has conceded 42 goals in 4,410 minutes of football.

The goalkeeper has a deal at Camp Nou until 2022 and is expected to be the club's stopper for a number of years to come. He has a release clause of 180 million euros.
