Tagliafico asks Ajax for time to wait for dream Barça move
The defender only wants to join Barcelona this transfer window
It has been an intense few days for Nicolas Tagliafico with his future to be decided. The Ajax left-back is aware that he has the chance of a life time to sign for Barcelona and he doesn't want to miss out.
Tagliafico, though, is in Ajax's hands, who for the moment have not accepted the loan offer from Barça. The Argentina international has asked his club to wait for up to 72 hours for the Catalans to present a better proposal so he can join Xavi Hernandez's side.
Barça feel Tagliafico would add experience and competition for Jordi Alba at left-back. Alba doesn't have that at the moment, with B team defender Alejandro Balde his only backup.
It is the final week of the transfer window and the clubs are in a rush to finalise operations. Tagliafico is optimistic and pressing Ajax to join Barça this month.
