According to the former Ajax player, Koeman wants to add Salah to his FC Barcelona team

A close friend of Ronald Koeman has revealed that Barça want to sign Mohamed Salah. According to the 'Express', Sjaak Swart knows that Salah is Koeman's first choice ahead of his Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane.

Swart is a former Dutch international and is the record appearance holder for Ajax. He was part of the team which won three European Cups and holds a close friendship with the current Barça manager.

Swart told 'voetbalzone.nl': "I know that Koeman wants him and I know that Salah would like to go there." When quizzed as to the source of that information, the former professional responded with: "I can't tell you that."

WAITING ON WIJNALDUM

Salah and Mané aren't the only Liverpool players linked with a move to the Camp Nou. The Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is out of contract at the end of this season and still hasn't penned a new deal with the reigning Premier League champions.

A move for Salah appears to be practically impossible this summer. The Egyptian star is under contract until 2023 and Barça don't have the financial resources to fund a move for Liverpool's top scorer. The only way that could have worked would have been if Lionel Messi had left the club. Lautaro Martinez (Inter) and Memphis Depay (Lyon) remain the main options to strengthen the attack.

Salah scored a hat-trick against Leed United on the opening day of the Premier League season.
