The four months of working on his own are now behind him following knee surgery

Luis Suarez has now recovered from his injury. The Barcelona striker is ready to return once competitive football does. The four months of working on his own are now behind him following knee surgery.

Suarez will have to do some re-adaption work with fitness coach Juanjo Brau when Barça can return to training but his injury problems should now be a thing of the past.

Keeping in mind that Barça will need, per the protocol laid out y Laliga, four weeks of training before the season restarts, Suarez will have enough time to get up to match fitness.

MEDICAL CLEARANCE

It will be during that time that the club's medical staff will be able to look over Suarez and give him medical clearance. He feels good and is in no pain working from home. He's spoken with the medical team regularly and everything has been positive.

Suarez is convinced he will be ready to play when football resumes. He was operated on in January. The club initially expected him to be out for a month so four months came as a shock. It was basically goodbye to the season.

He was going to miss over 25 games, reappearing, in the best-case scenario, for the final few games of the season. However, the coronavirus suspension of football in Europe has played into his favour. He has only missed 12 games.
