The winger could generate the Portuguese club an important sum of money

Sporting Lisbon are close to making Francisco Trincao's move official. The Portuguese club have already activated the option to buy the player and paid seven million euros to Barça once they confirmed their mathematical permanence in the Portuguese flight next season.

That was one of the conditions of a transfer that will have cost 10 million euros including three million that they paid for the loan of the player. Now they can do business, according to 'O Jogo'.

Trincao has exploded again back in his homeland. Sporting have given him the confidence he was not given at Barça or Wolverhampton Wanderers and the talented Portuguese player has responded on the pitch.

He has played practically everything and has already scored twelve goals in all competitions and provided five assists. His great form has made several European clubs ask about his availability and Sporting are open to proposals above 25 million euros.

Trincao joined Barça at a complicated time. He was part of a deal with Sporting Braga in which Abel Ruiz left. Barça paid around 28 million and received 10 million for Abel, so they have recovered some of what they invested at the time, but they were unable to make him a success at Camp Nou and they have not been able to get the full financial return.

At 23, Trincao still has a long way to go.
