The French defender will join the Germans on an initial 18 month loan
Sky have revealed that Schalke have finally struck a deal for Jean-Clair Todibo to join on loan from Barcelona for the next 18 months with an option to buy at the end of the deal.
Barça were reluctant to include an option to buy but have finally agreed, with an announcement expected as soon as Tuesday.
According to the reports, Schalke will be able to buy Todibo if he does well in the Bundesliga in the summer of 2021. However, Barça will have a buyback option for the summer of 2022.
Todibo, 20, was hopeful of winning his place in the Barça team but following a lack of football has been forced to seek minutes elsewhere.
