The club's president thinks the French defender will sign on again

Sevilla president Jose Castro spoke about the future of France defender Clement Lenglet in a press conference to announce Joaquin Caparros as the club's new sporting director. Castro believes Lenglet will stay at Sevilla despite Barcelona interest.

He confirmed there had been a meeting between the club and Lenglet's father. He wanted to send an optimistic message to Sevilla fans even though he's getting closer and closer to moving to Barca, who will pay his release clause.

"We are talking to Lenglet, that's no secret. He has years to go on his contract with us and we want him here for many more years. We have no information from Barcelona. Yesteday we met with the father and agent of the player and they told us nothing, other than that they are very happy here," said Castro.
