Barcelona coach Quique Setien says the Catalans should be named La Liga champions in the case the season is unable to restart due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"That would be logical," Setien told Cadena Ser. "But it could be another team. I would not like to be champions in that way. It wouldn't celebrate the championship in the same way."
The coach also said it would be a shame if football returns without fans. "That will almost certainly be the case," he added. "There will be no other option until there's a vaccine, But the reality is we all want to play, even if that's behind closed doors, which is a little sad."
Asked about future signings, one name was above the others: Neymar. Would Setien like him back?
"Pfff. They're all great players, how can I not like them?" he said. "Neymar is one of them. But it's like all things, you have to see what is possible and what's not possible. We know that these players cost a lot and it's not easy to bring them in."
The possible arrival of Lautaro Martinez could mean the departure of Antoine Griezmann, an option that Setien sees a long way off but doesn't rule out.
"I don't usually think long-term," the Barça boss said. "I focus on the short-term because it's what concerns me. It's true there is a lot of speculation in the media but I try and not be influenced by it. It's too soon because there's so much uncertainty."
But would be better for Barça. Lautaro or Neymar? "Both of them, because they're really good players."
