Setien speaks about Riqui Puig's chances of starting vs. Celta Vigo

Barcelona coach Quique Setien says Riqui Puig could come into the midfield for Saturday's trip to Celta Vigo in La Liga. 

Sergio Busquets will miss the game through suspension and Frenkie de Jong is injured, which could create an opportunity for academy graduate Riqui Puig to start. 

The youngster did well off the bench in midweek against Athletic Club, helping Barça win 1-0 to remain level with Real Madrid at the top of the table. 

"It could be a good moment for Riqui with the absences of important players like De Jong and Busquets," Setien said in a press conference Friday. 

"He also had chances before, but these are things we're looking at on a day to day basis based on training and the games we have." 

Asked if he felt under pressure from the media and fans to play Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati more, Setien added: "I am not aware of everything that's said because there are so many opinions out there and not many people in agreement. 

"I usually listen but there are other things that influence me more, like what I see and what each player can contribute at a certain moment. 

"Everything is supported by those close to me that work with me. I accept there are different criteria but at the end, we have to make decisions on what we see and think." 

On Riqui Puig's development, Setien said: "His progression has been good in the time we've been here. It's true his attitude has been excellent, his work extraordinary.

"Recently, he's been at a good level when he's played and we have seen the same commitment in training and that's the path to follow. It's a process."
