Quique Setién responded to the Uruayan as title race moves into final week

Barcelona coach Quique Setien insists he's not given up hope of winning La Liga despite the fact Luis Suarez has told SPORT "it's practically impossible" to overtake Real Madrid.

With two games to go, Madrid are four points clear and need just two points from games against Villarreal and Leganes. Barça, meanwhile, must beat Osasuna and Alaves and hope for a miracle.

However, Setien says anything can happen in football and that he doesn't share Uruguayan striker Suarez's point of view.

"That's Suarez's opinion," the coach said in a press conference. "The league is still not lost because anything can happen, but it's true it's going to be difficult.

"More than for our own faults, because we've drawn three games, Madrid have won all of their matches since the restart. They're in front and maybe they have done things better.

"They have these two games left now. It's possible they win them, but anything can happen in football."

Suarez had told SPORT: "If I have to be honest, it's almost impossible. Madrid have a big lead and there are only two games to play.

"We have to look at ourselves. I am very self-critical with myself. We have to be on a group level, too. If we lose the league it's because we let points escape us ourselves.

"You can look for excuses or moments that happened in other games ... but we have to be aware that if it's escaped, it's because of our own mistakes."
