Serie A side Inter Milan set their sights on Barça's Thomas Vermaelen
According to TMW, the Belgian's a target for the Italian giants
Inter's only centre-backs are Skriniar, Joao Miranda & Ranocchia
Inter have set their sights on Thomas Vermaelen to strengthen their defence, according to a report on TMW.
The Serie A side only have Skriniar, Joao Miranda and Ranocchia at the moment and are combing the market in a bid to improve their team.
Vermaelen's had few chances under Ernesto Valverde -- he's only played in the Copa del Rey -- and has suggested he'd be keen to leave and get more regular football before next summer's World Cup.
The Belgian has hardly played at all in recent years, despite a loan spell at Roma, due to injury problems. It's a situation which has been constant, given he's had a lot of muscle injuries.
According to the reports, other clubs such as Everton and Anderlecht also remain interested in the player, who is supposedly more interested in a return to England.
Vermaelen enjoyed the best years of his career at Arsenal, and at Ajax before that.
