The Argentine is closing in on a return from a calf injury and could play this weekend

Sergio Aguero has finally made his Barcelona debut, although not in an official match. The striker featured in a friendly against UE Cornella at the training ground on Wednesday.

Aguero, who joined on a free transfer in the summer from Manchester City, didn't need long to score his first goal, either, opening the scoring before Cornella equalised.

The match was a low-key affair played behind closed doors with the aim of giving certain players minutes. Aguero, as was planned, featured for half an hour and came off after scoring.

The Argentine forward is now expected to receive the green light to make his official Barça debut, perhaps even against Valencia on Sunday at Camp Nou.

However, while Ousmane Dembele could have played some minutes in the friendly after returning to training, in the end Barça felt it was too much of a risk.
