Sergino Dest out due to precaution against Real Sociedad
The right back took a knock against Granada and in the game before against Athletic
Barcelona right-back Sergino Dest was not picked in the starting line up against Real Sociedad on Wednesday night for precaution, after the player received a blow on the leg against Granada in La Liga at the weekend.
The Dutch right-back had also taken a knock in the previous game against Athletic Bilbao, hence his rest in the Spanish Super Cup.
Ronald Koeman does not want to take any risks with Sergi Roberto out injured.
In place of the former Ajax defender, Oscar Mingueza started at right-back for the first time. He has played there from the bench in place of Dest on various occasions recently.
