Sergino Dest not interested in offers and wants Barca success
The American right back does not want to leave Camp Nou this summer
Sergino Dest is only thinking about Barcelona. The US right back played 44 games in his first season and even though he didn’t find consistent form, he did show his potential and margin for growth. Conscious of Barca’s difficult economic position, various clubs have tried to lure him away, but Dest nor his people don’t want to even listen to offers. They want to focus on triumphing at Camp Nou with the team of his dreams.
At just 20, Sergino has a great future ahead of him. Logically the American can improve; that’s normal at his age. However in his first year at Barca he has shown some good signs. He played nearly 3000 minutes and worked well in the system with wing backs. The No 2 has alternated fine displays with some weaker ones. He just has to keep working until he finds consistency. In the second half of the season he did have some muscle problems which set him back.
His commitment is total. Arsenal, Juve and Bayern are among the clubs in interested but they’ve only heard one answer. “I’m only thinking about Barca.”
