Sergiño Dest arrives in Barcelona to complete transfer from Ajax!
The USA international arrived in the Catalan capital on Tuesday night
Sergiño Dest will complete his transfer to Barcelona in the coming days after finally landing in the Catalan city on Tuesday.
Dest travelled to Barcelona with permission from current club Ajax, although the signing is still not official. For that reason, the player will not yet pose with the club badge.
On Wednesday, he will undergo a medical ahead of Barça announcing his signing, which could happen on Thursday.
Dest arrives to strengthen the right-back position after the sale of Nelson Semedo. Without the Portugal international, Barça only have Sergi Roberto for the position.
Barça have been able to re-invest the 30 million brought in for Semedo on Dest, who will cost up to 25 million if all add-ons are met.
In just one season of senior football at Ajax, Dest has become one of the brightest players in his position in Europe.
Koeman tried to get him to play for Holland previously, but he chose the United States, and Bayern Munich also wanted to sign him this summer.
