Sergi Roberto's renewal agreed with Barcelona
The midfielder will be staying for another year on a lower rate deal
Barcelona and Sergi Roberto have sealed a renewal for one season for the midfielder from Reus, expected after his agent Josep Maria Orobitg and Mateu Alemany met last week. That’s when they were presented with the offer and Orobitg has told Barca that the player accepts the offer and now they just need to agree a day to sign it.
The Barcelona midfielder-cum-defender was out of contract on June 30 but now will be staying, largely thanks to Xavi who wants him next season.
Negotiations had broken down in December and the player has been out injured since October. He was nearly ready to come back but suffered a new muscle problem.
