The defender's happy to be top but warned it's a marathon, not a sprint

Barcelona came through a really tricky game against a good Getafe side to win 2-1 on Sunday thanks to goals from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Sergi Roberto started the game, returning from a hamstring injury to take Nelson Semedo's place, and did well on his first game back.

"Getafe are always a tough rival and even more so when they're playing at home," the defender said. "I think they had only conceded four goals here this season and we have scored two."

Happy for the win, Sergi Roberto wasn't entertaining title talk after Barça moved five points clear of Atletico Madrid at the top.

"It's good to be first in the table now, but what we want is to be champions at the end of the season," he added.

"Now the calendar gets complicated, with the Copa del Rey, then next month the Champions League's back. You have to grit your teeth and be at 100 percent in every game."

With second and third place (Atletico and Sevilla) playing out a 1-1 draw on Sunday and Real Madrid losing to Real Sociedad, it was a good weekend for Barça.

"La Liga is really even and you have to fight to win every game," Sergi Roberto said. "We don't have to look too much at the others, though. We have to focus on ourselves and continue like this until the end."
