Sergi Roberto: "Mateu Lahoz forgot Alba already had a yellow card"
Alba was sent off for two bookings as Barça were held by Espanyol
Sergi Roberto was put forward to make the first comments after Barcelona drew with Espanyol and, of course, Mateu Lahoz was the focus of the questions. The Barça defender said that the Valencian referee had been detrimental in the game, with his continuous interventions and controversial decisions.
For example, Roberto explained the surreal expulsion of Jordi Alba. "Mateu did not know that he already had a card, he had forgotten..." Roberto admitted that he "has surprised us" with his decision.
The Barcelona right-back did not question the action for the Espanyol penalty, which earned them a draw: "I could not see it, but I suppose it was," although he said that the referee "has damaged us a bit."
