Sky: Schalke jump ahead of Milan in the race for Todibo
The German club have convinced the Frenchman to join them this month
Schalke 04 have emerged as AC Milan's biggest rival in the battle to land Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo this month.
The French centre-back, 20, is reportedly more interested in the offer from the German club, according to the Italian journalist Gianluca Di Mario. Just as it seemed Todibo was set to join Milan, then, it now looks like he will leave Barça for the Bundesliga.
Bild report that Schalke's sporting director, Jochn Schneider, travelled to Barcelona earlier this week from the club's training camp in Murcia with the aim of convincing Todibo to join them.
Todibo is currently with Barcelona in Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup. If he does join Schalke, he will join up with Juan Miranda, who is also on loan at the German club from the Catalans.
Remember that Monaco, Nice and Bayer Leverkusen have also shown an interes in Todibo, who is most likely to leave on loan.
