Santi Cazorla: Xavi is an ideal coach for Barça
The former Villarreal midfielder spoke about his ex manager at Al Sadd
Former Villarreal and Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla visited Camp Nou on Friday to go to the museum. The Spaniard, also formerly of Al-Sadd where he was coached by Xavi, said he believes the manager can take Barcelona back to where they belong.
“For me he has been a reference point, as a player and as a person. We have clashed many times in league games, coincided with Spain many times too and I’ve had the luck of having him as a coach. He’s a spectacular person and I personally think he’s an ideal coach for Barcelona. He knows the place and it’s a dream for him to be there. He knows the demands there are. I wish him the best.”
Cazorla says one key is getting the most from the youngsters. “You have to grab Pedri, Gavi, those who come out of the youth team with force. I enjoy watching them play, it’s brings me pleasure. For the good of football I hope they form a great team.”
