Samuel Umtiti is no longer training at Barça and has left the city

Samuel Umtiti's stay in Barcelona is over. The French centre-back was caught by the cameras of El Chiringuito at El Prat Airport leaving Barcelona. Asked if he would remain at Barça this season, the former Lyon player declined to answer.
For many months he has been aware that Xavi does not count on him. Umtiti did not make the United States tour and stayed back at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to train with the rest of the discarded players. Neto, Riqui Puig, and Mingueza have all left or are soon leaving. Only Samuel and Braithwaite, who both received resounding applause at the Gamper, remain.
The player has received interest from Roma and Olympiacos, but he barely participated last season and will need to regain confidence. Barça are also aware that they will probably have to pay a good part of his salary to make him leave.
