Samuel Umtiti: A celebration with a message for Barça?
The French defender tried to claim Roma's second own goal on Wednesday
Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti celebrated his side's second goal against Roma as if it was his own.
Replays showed that it was in fact an own goal by Kostas Manolas, but Umtiti was close to turning it home himself and celebrated in front of the Barça fans by grabbing the club's badge.
It was a significant celebration. He ran to the corner as if to say: "I am with this badge, I represent this team."
Umtiti perhaps wanted to make a statement after a week of rumours surrounding his future at Camp Nou.
The France international said recently that he has offers from other clubs and that Barça have not yet started negotiations over a new deal.
His release clause is 60 million euros, which is why there's interest from elsewhere, and he has a deal with Barça until 2021.
