Salaries of Barcelona's biggest earners revealed with Pique top
Lluis Canut has broken down how much the players are earning at Barça
Barcelona continue to pay some of the biggest salaries in the world of football. On the show Onze, the journalist Lluis Canut has given the figures earned annually by some of the players.
The best-paid is Gerard Pique, who before agreeing to a wage cut was earning around 28 million euros gross per year. Even though he agreed to lower his salary in the summer, according to Canut, Piqué collected everything owed due to a loyalty bonus, a formula that rewards the player if he ends the contract that he has agreed.
After Pique comes Sergio Busquets (23 million) and Jordi Alba (20 million) while Samuel Umtiti (20 million), Ter Stegen (14 million), Philippe Coutinho (16 million) and Ousmane Dembélé (12 millones) come next. The other captain, Sergi Roberto, earns the same as Dembele (12 million).
This list is after a transfer market where Barça lost Leo Messi who earned 135 million euros gross and Griezmann, who earned 21 million. The high salaries of the Barça squad are one of the pending accounts that the board is trying to solve after the mandate of Josep Maria Bartomeu.
