The Bayern man claims his side won't get involved in the crazy sums being paid to players at the moment

Bayern Munich's chief executive, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has given his opinion on Antoine Griezman signing for FC Barcelona this summer. In an interview with 'Bild', the former player said he was concerned by the amount of money spent on transfers and wages in recent seasons.

"For example, Griezmann, is earning eight-figures per season. You need to multiply that by two as the club has agreed to pay the tax," admitted Rummenigge. "Bayern can't get involved with these crazy prices."

That message doesn't quite add up to the club's movements in the transfer market so far. They spent €80m on Lucas Hernandez, also from Atletico, around €35m on Benjamin Pavard and €3m on Jann-Fiete Arp. In total, they've parted with €118m and only brought in €34m in sales from Mats Hummels (€30.5m, Dortmund) and Marco Friedl (€3.5m, Bremen).
