Ronald Koeman's options after Antoine Griezmann's departure

Ronald Koeman lost a starter at the last minute of the window in Antoine Griezmann, who went back to Atletico.

The Frenchman had three weeks to show he could stand in for Lionel Messi but it was Memphis Depay who stepped up to the plate.

So the Barca coach will have to come up with a new plan, another player to play in Griezmann’s place

Ousmane Dembele is the natural option, when fit, but he’s out at least until the end of October.

The attack could be Memphis, Braithwaite and Ansu Fati when the latter is fit again. Maybe the Dane would play on the right in that situation.

Yusuf Demir is another option, having made his debut with the first team already.

An unknown factor is Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian has been training for weeks but not featured yet this season. He was on the bench against Getafe.

Koeman says Ansu Fati won’t be ready to face Sevilla. Luuk de Jong, signed from the Andalusian side, might be an option. 

Another choice would be to change to a 4-4-2 formation, how Barca played against Getafe in the final stages, with Gavi and Nico on the pitch, along with Busquets and De Jong.
