Ronald Koeman more relaxed as Barca beat Eibar

The coach was not as tense or angry as we have seen in other games with nothing at stake

With nothing at stake Barcelona went through their beaurocratic duty at Ipurua and we saw Ronald Koeman at his most relaxed. The coach has not been able to move for hearing rumours about his future and he said he has been maltreated at the club.

Koeman complained after the game. “We picked up a squad that was made, the only signing we made was Dest. For me the squad was not made to the level that we want at Barca, that’s clear and many people at the club think the same.”

Koeman was disappointed with how the season ended. “The problem was when we won the Copa and bounced back in La Liga, the people got excited. But in August if they’d told us we’d fight for a title and win another, I’d have taken it.”

Before his comments, he was relaxed at Ipurua. He sat on the bench, not getting up too much, in contrast to Mendilibar, his opposite number.

Koeman made a few subs during the game bit in general was quite relaxed, along with the bench. Meanwhile Eibar’s players were shouting. Koeman hadn’t hidden his frustration before, yelling at the team in the matches against Granada, Celta and Levante.
