Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman has been taken to hospital in Amsterdam because of a cardiac problem according to newspaper De Telegraaf, citing family sources.

The coach, 57, took a heart scan and is in stable condition thanks to the rapid intervention of medical personnel, per the newspaper.

Koeman was transported from his place of residence by ambulance to hospital, where the specialists were ready to undertake the operation. During it they unblocked a coronary artery and put in a ‘stent’.
