The Dutch coach was binned by Joan Laporta for Xavi

Ronald Koeman, the current coach of the Dutch national team, which he returned to directly after spending time at Barcelona for a season and a half, gave an interview to Andy van der Meijde to talk about his time as coach at Camp Nou.

In it he gave several headline opportunities, such as this one in which he affirmed that: "Dest is not worse than Sergi Roberto". Koeman was surprised by his departure to AC Milan this summer, being a young player who had just landed at the club. "I didn't understand it."

Koeman was delighted with De Jong's new situation in the team. "Frenkie is great. I think he's going to stay. He's playing so much, deservedly." He was one of the players who was on the exit ramp in the summer, but now the midfielder is untouchable for Xavi.

Specifically, regarding Xavi's management, he said: "Barça are doing very well. I saw Barcelona vs Real Madrid, they played incredible football. They were so good."

Of course, he also wanted to point out that 10-12 high-quality players have joined, so they have 'made his job easier' and in turn, he took the opportunity to send a message to the board: "It all depends on the quality of the squad. During my time it was different."

Bad results and the occasional statement did not help his relationship with Laporta, something he has confirmed on more than one occasion: "After what happened with the president, I'm not going to the Camp Nou these days."
