Ronald Araujo: To be at Barça is a blessing
The centre-back is soon going to renew his deal with the club
Ronald Araujo is one of the names in the news at the moment as Barcelona and the player’s agents try to come to a deal to renew his contract.
The club and Araujo’s agents met in a restaurant in Barcelona to discuss it and there are just a few things left to settle.
At the same time, the player featured in a video posted online by Barcelona’s social media team.
Araujo spoke about life at Barcelona, saying that “I feel blessed I can play for this club.”

Araujo said: “Barcelona have a very different philosophy to everyone else, even the Spanish teams,” he explained.
“When I arrived to understand the philosophy… the ball moves very fast. When I went to control it, it got away from me and I went home frustrated.”
He told himself: “I can’t be here and not be able to control the ball or play.”
Things improved.
“With work and delivery day to day I said, “sam here and I can play, I have the blessing to be at this club and that’s why I worked so hard. And thanks to god, it’s bearing fruit.”
