Ronald Araujo sustains knee injury in Barça's win at Real Sociedad
The defender was forced off at the start of the second half in San Sebastian
Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo had to come off in the 50th minute of Thursday's 1-0 win over Real Sociedad with anee injury.
The Uruguayan returned from a one-game ban, served against Cadiz, to partner Gerard Pique in the middle of Barça's back four at Anoeta.
Barça say he will have further tests on Friday to determine the severity of the problem.
"The first team player Ronald Araujo has a problem with his right knee and will have more tests to find out the exact extent of the injury," a statement said.
"The defender was in the starting XI for Barça in the win at the Reale Arena over Real Sociedad but was forced off after 55 minutes. The game was his 38th appearance in the 2021/22 season."
